GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications, originally Groupe Spécial Mobile), is a standard developed by the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) to describe protocols for second-generation (2G) digital cellular networks used by mobile phones, first deployed in Finland in July 1992. As of 2014 it has become the default global standard for mobile communications - with over 90% market share, operating in over 219 countries and territories.
Iridium NEXT Constellation Tracking
Monday, January 16th, following the successful launch of SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket that delivered 10 satellites to low-Earth orbit for Iridium’s NEXT constellation, Global Satellite Engineering (GSE) has integrated the live positional data of the NEXT constellation into its asset tracking solution: GSatTrack.
Tracking for Multiple Sclerosis
Saturday, April 2nd, GSE (Global Satellite Engineering) will be sponsoring one of our own during his “Walk MS”; an event to create awareness and spark interest in helping the fight to cure Multiple Sclerosis. The walk, located in George English Park, Fort Lauderdale, will take place at 8:30am. During this time, GSE will be doing their own side-event called “Track MS”. To help the MS cause, GSE will be suiting up one of our walkers with a tracking device to monitor his progress.
